ImagesPlus Canon, Nikon, QSI, ASCOM, SBIG, and Atik Camera Control Features
ImagesPlus Camera Control provides functions to focus, acquire, and monitor image quality during capture. The image processing version of ImagesPlus is described by ImagesPlus processing capabilities.
ImagesPlus 6.50 Camera Control
- QSI 500 & 600 cameras and filter wheels, Atik, SBIG, and ASCOM (ZWO) cameras & filter wheels
- QSI examples are shown but the functions are the same for all supported CCD cameras.
- Control CCD cameras with Win 7/8/10 x32/x64, Vista, or XP.
- Set camera shooting parameters such as bin, filter, gain, size, and image type.
- ASCOM focus control for absolute position focuser such as the StarLight Digital Feather Touch, Robo Focus, Optec TCF, Starizona Micro-Touch, and JMI Smart Focus.
- Auto v-curve focus or manual graphical focus metrics including half flux diameter (HFD), FWHM, and max contrast.
- Define, save, and load complex automatic sequences of images with variable gain, filters, bin, size, and image type.
- Focus quality tracking and correction during sequences of long exposures. Can be used without an ASCOM absolute position focuser to track and graph the change in focus HFD of a star. With an ASCOM absolute position focuser automatically maintains excellent focus during sequence of long exposures using a single filter, LRGB, or narrow band filters.
- ASCOM filter wheel control for filter wheels such as Atik and Optec. Integrated support for QSI filter wheels.
- Apply digital development automatically to each image after download for realistic brightness and contrast adjustment.
- Remote dither link to MetaGuide and PHD auto guide software.
- Canon DSLR Control
- Control the Canon 7D, 7D MII, 6D, 40D, 50D, 60D, 60Da, 70D, 100D/SL1, 450D/XSi, 500D/T1i, 550D/T2i, 600D/T3i, 650D/T4i, 700D/T5i, 750D/T6i, 760D/T6s, 1000D/XS, 1100D/T3, 1200D/T5, 5D MII, 5d MIII, 5DS, and 5DS R.
- 7D MII, 5DS, 5DS R, 750D/T6i, and 760D/T6s require Windows 7 x32/x64 or later. All other Canon Live view models listed can be used with Win 7/8/10 x32/x64, Vista, or XP.
- ***** Operate focus, live view, and capture in B bulb mode without switching to Manual when using the 7D, 7D MII, 6D, 5D MII, 5D MIII, 5DS, 5DS R, 60D, and 60Da.
- Set camera shooting parameters such as Tv, Av, ISO, Image Quality, White balance, and other parameters.

- Quality grade images as they download using Histogram, Line Profile, Cross-Hair,

- Focus and capture image sequences with LiveView set on the camera LCD. Mirror flap is gone since the mirror remains up during all focus and capture exposures.
- A special bulb capture cable is not required. All camera control functions are performed using only the camera USB cable. Note : Bulb can only be set on the Canon 60D, 60Da, 7D, 7D MII, 5D MII, 5D MIII, 5DS, and 5DS R using a manual switch on the camera.

- Control the Nikon D600, D610, D750, D800, D800E, D810, D810a, D5200, D5300, D7100, and Df on Win 7/8, Vista, or XP depending on camera model.
- **** With these new models only the camera USB cable is used for all functions including live view and bulb exposure.
- Live view with HFD display and video capture. Save live view video as sequential BMP files for automated crop, grade, align, and stack using the image set operations in ImagesPlus x32 and x64 image processing.
- Set camera shooting parameters such as shutter speed, aperature, ISO, Image Quality, White balance, and other parameters.
- ASCOM focus control for absolute position focuser such as the StarLight Digital Feather Touch, Robo Focus, Optec TCF, Starizona Micro-Touch, and JMI Smart Focus.
